The Dragon Child
A child was born whom the dragon had conceived, and under the guidance of the twelve zodiac animals she was raised in that good way for twelve years. The rooster woke the child in the morning, the sheep warmed her, the rat helped her to stand, the dog taught her to walk, the tiger taught her to speak, the rabbit how to listen, the monkey how to write, the pig how to play, the horse how to be brave, and the snake and ox taught her how to build a humble home. In this house of hers, she planted a small flower. Now, this child may come to learn about love in a changing world.
